ABOUT SCRAPBOOK

When I first started buying secondhand as a teenager, I was hooked immediately (and forever) by the thrill of finding a unique and affordable treasure. When I first started selling secondhand, from the back room of the original Milly - Milly Sleeping in Carlton - I was excited but unsure how it would be received. Very quickly, it became a popular aspect of the shop. I remember being gratified not only that our visitors liked the concept and the collection but that they would describe to us why: curation, quality, fabrics (!), difference. An amazing number of years later, I am still looking for the same things . . . something exciting  . . . well-made, fine attention to detail . . . natural fibres . . . care/heart . . . and I do love a good label - particularly 80s, 90s Aus labels and more contemporary European designers.
