Please note!
SCRAPBOOK is an ongoing project that takes place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people.
VISIT
Currently, Scrapbook is operating online only but I do hope to open my small Brunswick studio for visitors very soon.
QUALITY
Unless indicated, Scrapbook garments are secondhand. Or they may be new pieces made by recycling materials. As mentioned in the About section, I look for good quality well-made pieces as well as lovely things that are in need of some attention, which I can mend or adapt. When listing items for sale, I try to represent and describe each piece as accurately as possible - detailing any perceivable flaws - but it is best to anticipate general signs of wear and washing.
PAYMENT
When proceeding through check-out, you should be able to pay using credit card or Paypal. Afterpay will be added to those options soon. If you prefer another method, such as direct transfer, I'm happy with that - please just contact me: milly.s.temp@gmail.com or @shop_scrapbook on Instagram.
POSTAGE/PICK-UP
Parcels will be sent as soon as possible following sales paid in full (usually next day). You can choose:
- regular post with tracking for $12
- express post (with tracking) for $16
- "bulky" post (with tracking) for $20
Bulky is applicable to purchases of several items or a large single item like a coat.
These options are for customers within Australia. If you're an international customer, please get in touch prior to purchase - milly.s.temp@gmail.com.
If you are very local, you may prefer to collect. There is a 'pick-up' option within the check-out process, which indicates that you can collect your order from Parkville or Brunswick. Once I have received your order, I will contact you with more specific details.
RETURNS
While there's no dressing room available, I will offer returns/refunds less postage costs (ie. the buyer will pay to receive and send back the item). This will remain the case ongoing for non-local customers. I do, though, want to avoid disappointments and returns as much as possible so please
- read the item descriptions carefully
- use the measurements given (in centimetres) to compare against your own well-fitting garment
- ask lots of questions!
HOLDS
I'm sorry, I can't currently hold items - it gets too confusing or tricky as I may receive multiple simultaneous queries about the same piece.
BUYING/PRICING
I am often asked if I can do consignment; at the moment, I just don't have the space nor the brain power to do it! I have always preferred to source and buy all of my pieces, as this is the best way for me to maintain a manageable stock level and to keep things simple. It also enables me to set item prices at a level that's as reasonable/accessible as possible, which is quite important to me. That said, a lot of time goes into preparing each piece for sale including laundering and any repairs or adjustments that need to be made . . . You may notice an overall increase in prices as I attempt to find the right mark that reflects the work without being exorbitant.
