Limoges roses (hinged)

$35.00

***Sold***

Little fine trinket box with hinged lid and flower clasp. (There is a blue tinge to many of these images - the base colour is white).

Porcelain, made in France - decorated with intricate Limoges decals, and touches of paint on the top of the lid.

4cm (width) X 2.5cm (depth) X 5cm (height).

The marking on the base ‘or veritable’ refers to real 22 karat gold detailing. I think ‘Impéria Limoges’ dates the box … My quick research revealed similar pieces dated ‘post 1940, and late 1950s, but I remain really unsure of the piece’s actual vintage.

Condition is excellent. I don’t know the age of this dish but it is one of the more contemporary pieces.

Please note this is one of the smallest trinket boxes (refer to the image where the collection is shown together).
