90s Guess wrap dress
I bought this dress because the print and soft late 70s sleeve reminds me of the vintage dress that Liv Tyler wears in Stealing Beauty (the scene where they go to a heavenly garden party and Rachel Weisz eventually tells LT that her hair-do looks like a space rocket). This is a simpler style of dress - a classic cross-over with waist ties. Very light and semi-sheer but lined to lower thigh/above the knee. I would happily keep this dress - it’s so pretty without being prim. The print is tropical but the colours are interesting, partly murky, and further softened by the fabric’s tiny pleats.
Made in Italy.
The outer is 72% viscose/rayon, 28% polyamide; poly lining
Marked size M.
Fits like M or flexible Aus. 10
Cold hand wash, line dry, cool iron if necessary
Condition is excellent. Please note that the lining of the dress had a tendency to roll out so that it was quite visible where the dress crossed over - I have sewn it in place and it no longer rolls but there are extra seam lines.
